Currently I’m teaching English in the upper classes of a Waldorf school, teaching English for Business in companies in the Cologne area of Germany and teaching English at the technical universities in Cologne, Dortmund and Hagen on Business and Computer Science degree courses.

I have an honours degree in Education from Sussex and am a UK qualified teacher (Brighton) with a Certificate in the Teaching of English for Specific Purposes with distinction from Essex. I also have an MBA (from the Open Business school (nights in the Sahara are long) and a European Advanced Diploma in Educating the Gifted from Münster and Nijmigen. At the time of writing I am about to start an MSc course in e-Learning from Edinburgh through online education.

I live in a cottage in a small, friendly village in the German hills with my wife Edy, two dogs, five cats and a rabbit and in my spare time garden, read, work on e-learning and construct English language courses for the ‘very able’. I like to laugh a lot (mostly with Edy) and hear about the exploits of our three adult sons.
